Amsterdam and the Netherlands
A senior-led studio working from Amsterdam and Madrid for Dutch and Benelux mid-market companies, delivering in Dutch, English and Spanish.

Polargate in Amsterdam
Polargate works from Amsterdam and from Madrid, in the same time zone, for companies in the Netherlands and the rest of the Benelux. Delivery is senior-led: the person who scopes your project is the person who writes the code and answers your ticket a year later. Three lines run from here: BUILD (websites, customer products, internal portals, iOS and Android apps, AI features, integrations), GROW (technical SEO, AI-search visibility, content, paid media, analytics) and CARE, a monthly retainer for software that is already live.
What a Dutch mid-market company gets
The companies that fit are roughly 50 to 500 people: manufacturers, hospitality groups, professional services, family-owned firms selling across borders. The starting points usually sound like this.
- A corporate site nobody dares to edit, built by an agency that stopped answering.
- A site in Dutch, English and German where hreflang, slugs and the language switch quietly break.
- A process running on spreadsheets and a shared inbox that should be a portal.
- A guest or customer app, or an AI assistant that answers from your own data instead of guessing.
Whatever gets built ends up in accounts your company owns: your Supabase project, your Vercel account, your GitHub repository, your own developer accounts in the App Store and Google Play. Row level security on every table, and a handover pack with environment variables, admin accounts and the audit report. If you continue with another team, nothing has to be rebuilt.
Dutch is a delivery language, not a translation layer
Dutch copy is written in Dutch, in the je form, not run through a translator once the English is signed off. The engineering matches: a separate prerendered route per language, Dutch slugs, self-referencing hreflang with an x-default, and no geo-IP redirect that shows crawlers a single version of the site. Discovery documents, monthly reports and support tickets can be in Dutch. So can the meeting.
Being found in Dutch
Dutch buyers type in Dutch and now ask assistants in Dutch too. Two things usually block them: a site that serves an empty JavaScript shell, which assistants cannot read because they fetch raw HTML and do not run scripts, and language handling that leaves half the site invisible. Polargate serves real HTML on every route, allows the answer engines explicitly in robots.txt, registers the site in Bing Webmaster Tools and pings IndexNow on each deploy, because ChatGPT search leans on Bing's index. Structured data mirrors what a visitor can actually see, and sitemaps carry honest dates. Each month a fixed panel of Dutch buyer prompts runs through ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode and Claude, and the report says where you appear and next to whom. Rankings are never promised, because nobody honest can promise them.
What the Dutch market usually offers instead
The studios in Amsterdam and Rotterdam are good, and they are specialised in a way that costs you time. Design agencies hand over screens and no engineering. Cloud and software shops build well and leave demand generation to you. Almost none of them publish a price, and several sell to the Dutch market in English only. Polargate publishes entry prices, works in Dutch, and covers build, growth and care with one senior team.
The honest part: a Spanish company operating here
The contracting party is POLARGATE, S.L., CIF B24895005, registered office Calle Electrónica 6, 28027 Madrid. There is no Dutch BV and no KvK number. In practice: you sign with a Spanish company, invoices are in euros, and for a Dutch business with a valid BTW number the service is invoiced under the EU reverse charge, which your accountant books as btw verlegd. Amsterdam and Madrid share a time zone, so no delay is built into the working day, and project data sits in EU regions of the hosting and database accounts you own.
What it costs
The Discovery Sprint is fixed price from 4,900 EUR, and you keep everything it produces even if you stop there. As a reference from earlier projects, a multilingual site with its own backend starts from 7,600 EUR, and the first phase of an internal platform from 12,000 EUR. CARE starts at 850 EUR per month, GROW at 690 EUR per month bundled with CARE, and a standalone technical and AI-search audit at 1,500 EUR, credited against the work that follows if contracted within 60 days. Prices are in euros and exclude VAT.
