Polargate is two people, specialists brought in per project and a delivery system that lets a small studio ship work of a size it has no headcount for. This page explains who does the work, how it gets checked and what we will not promise.

What Polargate is

Polargate is a digital studio for mid-market companies, roughly 50 to 500 employees, in Europe and the Americas. We build the software (websites, products, internal portals, mobile apps, AI features and integrations), we grow it (SEO and AI-search visibility, paid media, content, automation, analytics) and we keep it healthy on a monthly retainer. Every engagement starts with a paid, fixed-price Discovery Sprint, so the first thing you buy is clarity rather than a commitment.

Who runs it

Polargate is two people, and it is worth saying which two.

Pedro Ciordia founded the studio and is the senior engineer on the build. Fifteen years and more across enterprise business intelligence, semiconductor manufacturing, hospitality and consumer products, which means this studio has spent as much time inside operations, reporting and compliance as it has inside design tools. He does the architecture, writes the code and answers when something breaks.

Andrés Ciordia, his brother, is Chief AI Officer and runs the AI side: the per-client company brain, the agents that work inside real systems, and the voice agents that pick up the phone. That half is a craft of its own. Deciding what an agent may do on its own, where a person has to sign, what happens when the model gets it wrong and when the honest answer is that a job does not need AI: none of that is solved by writing a better prompt.

Both work from Madrid, in English, Spanish and Dutch, with specialists brought in per project when a job needs one: photography, brand, mobile, data. The two of them are the permanent core, and the specialists come and go with the work.

The practical consequence has not changed. The people who scope your project are the people who write the code and the people who answer when something breaks. Both are on the work rather than in front of it, and neither of us sells, so there is no account layer between you and the engineering.

Honest about our size

The second name is a specialism, not a layer. We are two people, not a large agency, and that is a real trade-off worth saying plainly:

  • You get senior work on every task, with no junior handoff and no rotating team.
  • Being two is exactly why you always talk to whoever is doing the work. It is also why there is no bench behind us, so we take a small number of projects at a time.
  • We say no to work that needs a headcount we do not have.

What makes the output larger than the headcount is a delivery system built on AI agents, with a human reviewing before anything ships.

The delivery system

Polargate runs its own operating platform, built for this studio and used on every project:

  • A client portal and a per-client RAG brain, so project context is written down instead of remembered.
  • An MCP server with more than 100 tools that lets AI agents act on the real systems: repositories, databases, tickets, releases.
  • Multi-agent audit loops. One agent builds, others attack the result, and every finding is verified adversarially before anything is changed. One offline-first mobile app has taken eleven audit rounds so far. One monthly maintenance cycle closed 33 confirmed findings on a live client site.
  • A multi-tenant ServiceDesk with an autonomous fix agent, an OTA release hub for mobile apps, an encrypted secrets vault and a shared design system.

No agent deploys on its own word. A human reads the diff, runs the build and looks at the result in a browser, on desktop and on mobile, before it goes live.

What we will not claim

  • We do not publish invented clients, awards or certifications.
  • We do not guarantee rankings or revenue. Google and the AI assistants are not ours to promise.
  • We do not sell 24/7 support. A CARE retainer is senior attention during working hours, with an agreed path for urgent issues.
  • We do not lock work into infrastructure you do not own. Projects live in your accounts, your repository, your database, so leaving is always possible.

Our own products

Polargate builds its own software as well as its clients'. Estevano is a multi-tenant hotel SaaS with a multilingual AI concierge, running in production in resort hotels. The internal operating platform described above is the second. Running our own products keeps us honest: we live with the same migrations, app store reviews, incidents and support load that we ask clients to trust us with.
