We build and run software for Dublin companies from Madrid, one hour away on the clock and inside the same EU contracting rules. We keep a contracted workspace in Dublin, with nobody based there full time, and we say so.
What we do for Dublin companies
We design, build and keep running the software a company depends on: the public website, the product front end, the client portal, the native app and the backend under all of it. The stack is React, TypeScript, Tailwind and Supabase, hosted on Vercel, with native apps built on Capacitor and updated over the air. The backend belongs to you or to us, never to a managed platform you have to migrate off two years later.
The clock
Madrid is one hour ahead of Dublin. That is the entire difference. A question asked at ten in the morning in Dublin lands in the middle of our working day, and something agreed before your lunch can be built, reviewed and deployed the same afternoon. There is no overnight handover to plan around and no weekly call needed just to keep a project moving.
Languages
English is our canonical language: the site, the documentation, the commits and the support tickets. We also work in Spanish and Dutch, which matters if your Dublin office is the European hub of a group with teams in Spain, the Netherlands or Belgium and you would rather not run a translation layer between them.
Why a Dublin business would choose us
Because a senior engineer does the work, instead of an account manager sitting between you and it. Polargate is two people: Pedro Ciordia, founder and CTO, who scopes and writes the software, and Andrés Ciordia, Chief AI Officer, who runs the AI side of it. Specialists are brought in per project, so the scope, the code and the decisions stay with the two people you have already spoken to. Contracting is intra-EU: POLARGATE, S.L. is a Spanish company with an EU VAT number, and an Irish company with a valid VAT number is invoiced under the intra-community exemption with the correct legal wording on the invoice. After launch the work carries on inside a service desk: your reply to an email becomes a ticket, and the balance of your hours is visible in your own portal.
What we do not claim
We have no office in Dublin and no Irish client to point to yet. The workspace we keep in Dublin, at Spaces on Sir John Rogerson's Quay, is a contracted one with nobody based there full time, and POLARGATE, S.L. is registered in Madrid. We operate in the Irish market and serve it in Irish hours.
