Work

Work that shipped: hotel and resort websites, an operating system for a hotel refurbishment contractor, a homeware shop rebuilt around a single photograph, an employee portal for a travel group. The numbers in each case are technical and verified. We name a client only where the work is already public; anything under an agreement is described without the name.

AI does the volume work: first drafts, audits, migrations, repetitive passes over a codebase. A senior engineer reviews every diff before it merges, and nothing deploys on its own. That is how a small studio ships at the pace of a much larger team without shipping the mistakes a larger team would find three weeks later.

Native in English, Spanish and Dutch

Multilingual is the default here, not an add-on at the end. We write, build and support in three languages, with a route per language, translated URLs, reciprocal hreflang and copy that reads as if it had been written locally, because it was. That matters in Europe and the Americas, where the buyer and the guest rarely share a language.

Built to be found by people and by AI

Every site we ship serves real HTML to crawlers, with structured data generated from the same source as the visible text, honest modification dates and a robots policy that lets the answer engines read you. Most sites built in the last five years serve an empty shell instead, which is why assistants never mention them.

What does Polargate actually do?
Polargate builds, grows and maintains custom software for mid-market companies. BUILD covers websites, products, internal portals, mobile apps, AI features and integrations. GROW covers SEO, AI-search visibility, content, paid media and analytics. CARE is senior maintenance and evolution on a monthly retainer, run through a ServiceDesk. Most clients start with one track and add the others once the first one is running.
How much does a project with Polargate cost?
Every engagement starts with a paid Discovery Sprint from 4,900 EUR, which ends in a fixed price for the build itself. Care retainers start at 850 EUR per month, and Grow starts at 690 EUR per month bundled with Care, with standalone audits from 1,500 EUR. Polargate does not bill by the hour and does not quote a build before Discovery has defined it.
How fast can you deliver?
The first production iteration usually ships four to eight weeks after the Discovery Sprint, and Discovery itself takes about two weeks. Speed comes from a small senior team and AI-amplified delivery, not from skipping review. Larger platforms are shipped in phases, so something real is live and usable early instead of everything arriving at the end.
Who actually does the work?
Senior engineers, and the people you meet are the people who write the code. Polargate is a senior-led studio run by its founder, Pedro Ciordia, and his brother Andrés Ciordia, Chief AI Officer, who runs the AI work, with a network of specialists brought in by name for photography, design, content or native development when a project needs them. There is no junior layer learning on your budget and no account manager between you and the build.
Do you work with our existing stack, or do you rebuild everything?
We work with what you have whenever it holds up, and we say so plainly when it does not. Polargate has taken over WordPress and WooCommerce sites, integrated hotel booking engines, Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, bank payment gateways and third-party APIs. The default for new work is React and TypeScript with Supabase and Vercel. The Discovery Sprint decides repair or replace, with the cost of each written down.
What happens after launch?
Either the work moves to a Care retainer or it does not, and either way you own everything. Care starts at 850 EUR per month: requests enter a ServiceDesk, are estimated in hours against a contracted pool, and a monthly audit covers security, structured data, AI-search readiness, performance and broken routes. Repository, database, hosting, secrets and domains stay in accounts in your name, with a written handover if you leave.
Where is Polargate based?
Polargate is POLARGATE, S.L., a Spanish company registered at Calle Electrónica 6, 28027 Madrid, and it also works from Amsterdam. Clients are in Europe and the Americas, including Spain, the Netherlands and the Caribbean. Delivery is remote first, with on-site visits when a project needs them, and client data sits on European infrastructure by default.
Which languages do you work in?
English, Spanish and Dutch, natively, in meetings, documents, code and support. Polargate also ships sites in other languages when a market needs them, for example a Spanish, English and French golf site with a translated URL per language. Multilingual work is built properly: one route per language, reciprocal hreflang, per-language metadata, and content written rather than machine translated.
