In short
Polargate built a full brand identity, a 15-page identity manual and a bilingual Spanish and English corporate site for Global Dynamic Security Group (GDS), a security services group in the Dominican Republic, as one fixed-price project delivered in 2026. The site runs on React, TypeScript and TanStack Start on Vercel, ships as static HTML that search engines and AI assistants can read, and comes with a packaged design system of 7 primitives and 12 components.

## The problem

Global Dynamic Security Group (GDS) sells to hotel operators, corporate clients and public tenders, buyers who look a supplier up online before they answer. It had no site those buyers could evaluate and no written rules for its own identity: the mark, the colour and the typography changed depending on who was preparing the document. Its decision makers are split between Spanish and English, and the sector is crowded with larger operators, so an improvised presence was costing credibility before any conversation began.

## What we built

Polargate ran the work as one fixed-price project, in order: identity, then system, then site. We designed the wordmark and the seal, set the colour, typography and spacing rules, and wrote them into a 15-page identity manual delivered as a PDF and as an interactive page. We packaged the visual language as a real design system on design tokens, 7 shadcn/ui primitives and 12 components, so the site and anything built later stay consistent. The site is bilingual Spanish and English, built in React and TypeScript with TanStack Start and deployed on Vercel.

## The outcome

The group now has one identity with rules behind it and a bilingual site that ships as static HTML, so crawlers and AI assistants read the full text without running JavaScript. Landing pages by service and by city give local search something concrete to index. The careers page accepts CV uploads and delivers them by email through Resend, with no candidate database to secure. The design system was reviewed component by component with no rendering errors before handover.

## The context

The client is Global Dynamic Security Group (GDS), a security services group in the Dominican Republic: guarding, supervision and coordination for hotels, corporate sites and events. It came to Polargate with a working business and an identity that had never been written down. Proposals, vehicles and uniforms each carried a slightly different version of the mark, and there was no site where a procurement team could read what the group does, where it operates and how it is organised. Roughly half of its buyers work in English.

## What we found

We started with the market, not the design. The Dominican private security sector is estimated at RD$21,705 to 24,000 million a year and employs more than 62,000 people, led by a small group of large operators with long client lists. Their sites lean on stock photography and say very little that is specific. That set the direction: be concrete about services, coverage and method, in both languages, and make the page readable by machines as well as people.
The second finding was internal. There was no single source of truth for the brand, so every new document restarted the design work from scratch.

## What we built

- A logo system (wordmark and seal) with rules for colour, typography, spacing and use, written into a 15-page identity manual delivered as a PDF and as an interactive page.
- A design system on tokens: 7 shadcn/ui primitives and 12 components, reviewed one by one with no rendering errors, reusable on any future screen.
- A bilingual Spanish and English site in React, TypeScript, Tailwind and shadcn/ui, on TanStack Start with server and static rendering, hosted on Vercel.
- Landing pages by service and by city, per-page metadata and Open Graph images, aimed at local search and at assistants that read the page directly.
- A careers page with CV upload that arrives as an email through Resend, so there is no candidate database to secure.
- Brand photography produced with image generation models and art directed shot by shot, because operational photography of guarded sites cannot be published. The first layout was scaffolded quickly in Lovable to agree structure, then rebuilt as plain React and TypeScript with Claude Code. Nothing in the repository depends on the builder it started in.

## How it runs now

The site is live on the group's own domain. Pages are delivered as static HTML, so a crawler or an assistant gets the full text on the first request. Both language versions live side by side in the same codebase, which keeps them from drifting apart as content changes. The careers form needs no maintenance beyond an inbox.
The project was quoted as a fixed-price build, with the scope agreed before the first line of work. Polargate also delivered a market and competitor study of the Dominican security sector and a marketing proposal in tiers, which the client is evaluating on its own timetable. No retainer is running, and nothing in the build requires one.

FAQ

## Questions about this project

How long does a brand identity and website like this take? Weeks, not months, when the scope is fixed up front. Polargate delivered the identity manual, the design system and the bilingual site together in July 2026, a few weeks after the proposal. The schedule holds because the decisions are made in a paid Discovery Sprint before the build starts: services, structure, languages and which pages matter. Changing direction halfway through is what turns these projects into months.
Can you build the site in Spanish and English at the same time? Yes. Polargate works natively in English, Spanish and Dutch, and this site shipped bilingual from day one instead of getting a translation layer bolted on later. Each language version is pre-rendered as static HTML with its own URL and its own metadata, so both can be indexed and quoted separately. Adding a third language afterwards is a content job, not a rebuild.
We already have a site built in a no-code tool. Can you take it over? Yes. This project started as a Lovable scaffold to agree the layout quickly, then Polargate rebuilt it as plain React and TypeScript so it no longer depends on the tool it began in. The pattern is the same each time: keep what works about the design, move the code into a normal repository deployed on Vercel, and remove whatever locks you to one vendor. You end up with a codebase any senior developer can read.
What happens after launch? Do we need a monthly contract? No. This was a fixed-price build, with no retainer running afterwards. If you want ongoing work, Polargate offers a monthly CARE retainer with senior maintenance, evolution and support through a ServiceDesk, but that is a separate decision you make after launch, not a condition of the build. This client is currently evaluating a marketing proposal in tiers, and the site runs fine while that decision stays open.
Our operations are confidential, so we cannot show real photos. What do you do then? We build the imagery around the constraint. In security work you often cannot photograph a client's site, its access controls or its staff. For this project the brand photography was produced with image generation models and art directed shot by shot to match the identity, presented as brand imagery and never as documentary evidence. Where real photography is possible and adds credibility, it is still the better option and Polargate will say so.

### The corporate web platform of Globalia

Globalia, the Spanish travel group, had its people data in Microsoft 365 and its public website somewhere else. Polargate built one web platform on a single repository: an employee directory synced from Microsoft 365, a digital business card with Apple Wallet and Google Wallet passes, and the group's public site, made readable by AI crawlers without rebuilding it. Pedro Ciordia works at Globalia, so this is related-party revenue, not a client won on the open market.

### Hardening a corporate website that a DNS filter was blocking

A customer's corporate DNS filter was rejecting our client's domain, and that stopped the client operating as one of that customer's suppliers. The site was not compromised and not blacklisted. It was simply unhardened. Polargate diagnosed it in a week, migrated the CMS to hosting the client controls, and hardened it there, because the CMS admin panel was the only access available.
